Location-based Inventory mapping

In Mystore, sellers can assign inventory to specific locations directly while creating or linking a product using the Linked Products section. This ensures that each product is mapped to a seller and a specific inventory location for accurate stock management and order routing.

When to Use This

Use this method when:

• You are linking products to a seller
• You want to assign inventory to a specific location during product setup
• You are seller manager managing inventory per seller + location combination

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to Linked Products

1. Log in to Mystore Seller dashboard
2. Go to:  Products → Linked Products
3. Click on Add or edit

Step 2: Enter Basic Product Details

Fill in details:

• Product Name
• Inventory Quantity
• Enable Publish (if ready to go live)

Step 3: Select Seller (Mandatory)

• If you are seller manager, In the Seller field search and select the seller (e.g., Mystore S). This defines which seller owns this inventory. 
• For the sellers, this field will not be visible.

Step 4: Select Inventory Location (Mandatory)

• In the Location field
• Search and select the store/warehouse location. Only locations mapped to the selected seller will appear here

Step 5: Configure Additional Settings (Optional)

• Substore (if applicable)
• Advanced Settings: 

Enable Advanced Settings to control purchase limits and order policies:

• Min Limit → Minimum quantity a customer must buy
• Max Limit → Maximum quantity allowed per order
• Cancelable → Choose if the product can be canceled (Yes / No / Default)
• Returnable → Choose if the product can be returned (Yes / No / Default)

If left as default, system-level settings will apply.

• Approval status (default: Approved)

Step 6: Save the Product

• Click on Submit (top right)

How This Works

• The product is linked to a Seller + location.
• Inventory quantity is assigned to that specific location
• During order placement:
• System identifies seller
• Uses mapped location for fulfillment

You need two types of shipping methods for location-level inventory to work correctly.

Location-Specific Method

This applies only to items from a particular location. For example: FPO delivery for the Malviya Nagar Dark Store at ₹10.

Seller-Level Fallback Method

This applies to all your products that don't have a location-specific method. It acts as the default.

Follow the same steps above, but leave the Location field blank. This makes the method apply to all items that don't match a location-specific method.
